Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the development of JHA policies and programs, advising and instructing on various safety-related topics, conducting risk assessments and enforcing preventative measures, reviewing existing policies and measures, initiating and organizing JHA training, inspecting premises and work of personnel, overseeing installations, maintenance and disposal of substances, stopping any unsafe acts or processes, recording and investigating incidents, and preparing reports on occurrences.
Main Responsibilities- Support the Development of JHA Policies and Programs: Collaborate with management to develop and implement effective JHA policies and programs that minimize risks and hazards.
- Advise and Instruct on Various Safety-Related Topics: Provide guidance and instruction to employees on various safety-related topics, including noise levels, use of machinery, and personal protective equipment.
- Conduct Risk Assessments and Enforce Preventative Measures: Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential safety issues and develop strategies to mitigate risks and hazards.
- Review Existing Policies and Measures: Review and update existing policies and measures to ensure they are aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Initiate and Organize JHA Training: Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on JHA procedures and protocols.
- Inspect Premises and Work of Personnel: Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential safety issues and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Oversee Installations, Maintenance, Disposal of Substances: Ensure that all installations, maintenance, and disposal of substances are conducted in accordance with established safety protocols and guidelines.
- Stop Any Unsafe Acts or Processes: Identify and address any unsafe acts or processes that may pose a risk to employees or the organization.
- Record and Investigate Incidents: Document and investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Prepare Reports on Occurrences: Prepare reports on incidents and near-misses to inform management and improve organizational safety practices.
