Data Center Operations Specialist Role

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Data Center Operations Specialist to manage and service large-scale data centre infrastructure and facilities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring 24x7 operations in rotating shifts, proactive coordination and escalation related to site operational issues and client's requirements, and provide great customer experience at all times.

  • Support and ensure smooth 24x7 running of the operations in the data centre.
  • Act as Level 1 escalation point by overseeing and resolving all onsite operational incidents and major issues, responding & performing remote requests within SLA.
  • Understand the M&E, security, network and plumbing systems of the building, critical facilities equipment and other equipment associated with the DC environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain data centre infrastructure and facilities to ensure optimal performance and uptime.
  • Coordinate and escalate site operational issues and client's requirements to ensure great customer experience.
  • Develop and implement best-in-class data centre operations based on ITIL and industry practices.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience in 24x7 DC or facility operations environment, or fresh graduate with relevant qualifications such as building services, mechanical engineering.
  • Possess general knowledge of Network Critical Infrastructure.
  • Meticulous team player with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
