We are seeking a skilled engineer to manage and service large-scale data centre infrastructure and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure smooth 24x7 operations in the data centre.
  • Act as Level 1 escalation point, resolving onsite operational incidents and major issues.
  • Understand M&E, security, network and plumbing systems of the building, critical facilities equipment and other equipment associated with the DC environment.
  • Document and update accurately all requests on the internal web portal ticketing system.
  • Implement best-in-class DC operations based on ITIL and industry practices.
  • Deliver ITIL compliance process conformance for incident, problem and change management.
  • Ensure effective implementations of safety, security and customer support policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate and provide support to contractors and vendors.
  • Plan and support all preventive and reactive maintenance activities with little disruption to services.
  • Participate and support internal and external audits for stakeholders and customers.

Requirements:

  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience in 24x7 DC or facility operations environment.
  • Possess general knowledge of Network Critical Infrastructure.
  • Good knowledge in M&E and building facilities-related systems.
  • Meticulous team player with ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred skills:

  • Possess relevant facilities management and/or data centre-related certifications.
  • Familiar with certification standards.
  • Good contractor management and collaboration skills.
  • Prepared to be on 24x7 standby recall to provide extra manpower coverage when necessary.
