Email Marketing QA Specialist - Job Description:

About the Role

This is a pivotal position in ensuring the precision, compliance, and performance of lifecycle marketing endeavors. We are seeking an Email Marketing QA Specialist to oversee workflow queues, conduct campaign quality assurance, and collaborate with stakeholders on compliance, audit, and documentation procedures.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage task assignments across multiple team members, ensuring timely completion and proper prioritization.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of CRM campaign assets, HTML templates, and audience definitions for accuracy and adherence to best practices.
  • Maintain and refine QA guidelines, compliance protocols, and documentation standards to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Lead regular reporting on QA metrics, backlog activity, and work queue health to inform strategic decisions.
  • Support recurring audits (e.g., opt-out compliance, pixel/tag verification) to guarantee data integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with product, privacy, and engineering teams to ensure marketing governance policies are upheld.
Key Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in CRM operations, email QA, or campaign compliance roles.
  • Proven ability to coordinate task assignments across a team and foster a culture of collaboration.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with CRM/marketing technology tools (e.g., Braze, SFMC, Hightouch, Google/Adobe Analytics).
  • Experience maintaining QA documentation, compliance protocols, and campaign opt-out/pixel/tag governance.
  • Proficiency with Google Workspace, Slack, and JIRA or equivalent task management tools.
  • Experience supporting marketing audits or collaborating with legal/privacy teams to drive results.
  • Understanding of dynamic scripting (e.g., Liquid, AMPscript) and its applications in email marketing.
  • Familiarity with Google Tag Manager or similar pixel tracking tools.
  • Working knowledge of SQL for light data analysis and informed decision-making.
  • Experience in tag implementation or troubleshooting to optimize marketing efforts.
