Optimisation Specialist

We are seeking an Optimisation Specialist to join our team. As an Optimisation Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and implementing the best integration for the latest IoT and server-class hardware platforms and software stacks.

You will work with partners to deliver a delightful, optimised experience on their platforms, taking a holistic approach to the Ubuntu experience with inputs on technical plans, testing strategy, quality metrics. You will also participate as a technical lead on complex customer engagements involving complete system architectures from cloud to edge.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include helping customers integrate their apps, SDKs, build device OS images, optimize applications with Ubuntu Core, Desktop and Server. You will work with the most advanced operating systems and application technologies available in the enterprise world.

About the Role
  • Design and implement the best Ubuntu integration for the latest IoT and server-class hardware platforms and software stacks.
  • Work with partners to deliver a delightful, optimised experience on their platforms.
  • Taking a holistic approach to the Ubuntu experience with inputs on technical plans, testing strategy, quality metrics.
  • Participate as a technical lead on complex customer engagements involving complete system architectures from cloud to edge.
  • Helping customers integrate their apps, SDKs, build device OS images, optimize applications with Ubuntu Core, Desktop and Server.

Requirements
  • Experience with Linux packaging (Debian, RPM, Yocto).
  • Experience working with open source communities and licences.
  • Experience working with C, C++.
  • Ability to work in a globally distributed team through self-discipline and self-motivation.
