Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Linux Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. This role offers a unique opportunity for a technologist with a passion for Linux and open source to build a career driving success for customers, community, and company.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Linux-based infrastructure and applications, covering all layers of the stack, including bare metal, virtualization, containerization, storage, networking, OpenStack, Kubernetes, and open source applications.

  • Resolve complex customer problems related to Ubuntu, Kernel, Ceph, OpenStack, or Kubernetes and other open source software
  • Maintain close working relationships with Field, Support, and product engineering teams
  • Participate in upstream communities and contribute to code development
  • Develop bug fixes, backport patches, and collaborate with upstream for inclusion
  • Review code produced by other engineers and demonstrate good judgment in technical methods and techniques
  • Prioritize work effectively against established priorities and participate in team discussions to improve processes, tools, and documentation
  • Maintain clear, concise communications and share knowledge with colleagues
