- Patient Communication: Handle inbound and outbound calls, responding to inquiries with professionalism and empathy, addressing patient concerns and questions.
- Pre-Appointment Preparation: Gather necessary medical history and documentation before consultations to ensure a comprehensive understanding of patient needs.
- Coordination with Healthcare Providers: Facilitate communication between patients, providers, and insurance representatives to foster collaboration and efficient care delivery.
- Administrative Support: Assist with medical billing, claims processing, and other administrative duties as needed to support the smooth operation of the healthcare team.
- Experience in medical administrative support or patient intake coordination, preferably in a remote healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks to enable efficient data management and access.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance processes to ensure accuracy and compliance in patient care.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills to allow for effective prioritization and task management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate clear and empathetic patient interaction.
- Ability to handle sensitive patient information with discretion and professionalism, upholding confidentiality and trust.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and healthcare scheduling software to facilitate efficient workflow and collaboration.
- Background in medical billing and insurance verification is a plus to offer expertise in specific areas of patient care.
