The BootStack team designs, builds, and operates modern distributed systems on private infrastructure for customers. You will work closely with the latest technology stack, including Kubernetes, OpenStack, and other industry-leading tools.

  • Manage a growing engineering team to optimize quality and velocity in both development and operations
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators for team health
  • Establish disciplined engineering and operations processes
  • Represent the team effectively with stakeholders, customers, and external teams
  • Ensure proper focus on priorities, milestones, and deliverables
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives

We are seeking an experienced leader with a proven track record in software delivery using various programming languages, such as Python, Go, C, C++, Java, or similar, as well as experience managing operations teams. A strong commitment to testing methodologies and maintainable code quality is also essential.

Experience with Linux system administration, particularly Ubuntu/Debian, is highly valued. Strong communication and cooperation skills are necessary for success in this role. Agile software development methodologies and cloud topologies and technologies are preferred but not required.

Travel to team and company events, customer meetings, and occasional international trips (less than 20% of the time).
