Job Title: Technical Drafter

A detail-oriented and technically proficient professional is sought to join the design and manufacturing team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in drafting, deep knowledge of materials and construction methods used in furniture making, and the ability to work efficiently in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings and schematics using CAD software
  • Translate design concepts into fully dimensioned production-ready technical documents
  • Prepare exploded views, assembly instructions, and component lists to support fabrication processes
  • Maintain organized documentation of all revisions, drawings, and records
Furniture Production Coordination:
  • Collaborate with designers and production teams to ensure technical drawings align with manufacturing capabilities and material specifications
  • Review and adjust designs for structural integrity, ergonomics, and material efficiency
  • Provide technical support during prototyping and fabrication phases
  • Troubleshoot design or material issues that arise during production
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable safety and quality standards, including load requirements and material tolerances
  • Perform checks on all drawings before release to ensure dimensional accuracy and completeness
  • Work with vendors and suppliers to verify component compatibility and cost-efficiency
Project Support and Communication:
  • Participate in design reviews and project planning meetings to provide technical input and updates
  • Coordinate with engineers and suppliers to meet project timelines and deliverables
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending design or process optimizations
