Business Development Position

This position is focused on promoting our financial services to Registered Investment Advisors. You will be responsible for representing us in sales efforts, obtaining new clients, and growing existing client revenue.

You will work with partners and internal employees on sales efforts, developing territory sales plans, and increasing sales and retention of assets. You will also represent us and our products to advisors, enabling them to identify benefits of our products relative to competitors.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing new revenue opportunities and capitalizing on referrals to increase sales in the territory
  • Representing Orion and its products to advisors knowledgeably and effectively
  • Contacting RIA firms and their advisors following onsite visits and demonstrations
  • Ensuring receipt of excellent customer service with RIA firms and their advisors
  • Maintaining critical contact relationships with firms involved in the distribution to the same market for referrals or institutional clients

Requirements include:

  • Excellent knowledge of financial services offerings and company policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to interact, listen, influence, and partner in a professional and engaging manner with high-level decision-makers
  • Leadership skills to provide a positive work environment
  • Possession of strong sales skills, negotiation and persuasion, up-selling, closing, follow-up, relationship building, and networking
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or related field
  • Series 65 license
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a field-based territory sales position selling financial services offerings to Registered Investment Advisors
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience building and maintaining a customer account base
