High Performance Network Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Engineering Team, you will contribute to the development of our Trading Platform whilst working closely with the Product Team.

Your primary responsibilities will include designing, building and enhancing our extensive API-based services written in Golang. You will also be responsible for contributing and encouraging API adoption both internally and externally, as well as helping write comprehensive end-to-end feature tests and examples based on the API.

In addition, you will support platform integration with Exchanges, Brokers, OTC, and work with engineers, designers, product managers and senior leadership to ensure constant improvement and quality-assured delivery. Finally, you will monitor and support all production system components.

To be successful in this role, you will require 5+ years commercial hand-on software engineering experience, with a strong background in GoLang and related technologies. You will also need experience of working in cloud and containerised environments, as well as proficiency in building and using REST, WebSockets, and/or FIX-based APIs. Additionally, you should have a solid understanding of data structures and algorithms, excellent software design and debugging skills, and a Bachelor's degree or relevant work experience in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.

Nice to have experience of some or all of the following: Building performant low-latency systems, performance testing distributed systems, messaging/streaming technologies, execution, order, or portfolio management systems, building monitoring dashboards using technologies such as Prometheus and Grafana.
