Job Overview

This role involves overseeing daily company payables operations, encompassing accurate and timely invoice processing, vendor relationship management, and compliance with company policies and financial regulations.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Payment Cycle Management">
    • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, adhering to company policies and regulatory guidelines.">
    • Reconcile carrier statements with our records, rectify discrepancies, and maintain precise transaction records.">
    • Initiate payment runs, including checks, electronic fund transfers, and wire transfers, in line with scheduled payment cycles and terms.">
    • Promptly document and store company payables documents, including invoices, receipts, and payment records, in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.">
  • Carrier Relations and Management">
    • Respond to carrier inquiries, resolve payment-related issues, and handle carrier statements and reconciliations efficiently.">
  • Financial Performance and Reporting">
    • Thoroughly examine company payables data, identifying trends, and preparing detailed financial reports and metrics for managerial review.">
    • Continuously monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as invoice processing speed, payment precision, and cash flow influence.">
  • Process Optimization and Control Enhancement">
    • Cultivate opportunities to streamline company payables processes, heighten efficiency, and bolster internal controls.">
    • Implement standard procedures, documentation, and workflows to ensure consistency and compliance.">
    • Contribute to system enhancements and updates, test new features, and provide valuable user feedback.">

Necessary Skills and Qualifications

">
  • Degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is highly desirable.">
  • Proven experience as a company payables professional or in a comparable position, preferably in the insurance or financial services sector.">
  • Robust understanding of accounting principles, financial processes, and internal control mechanisms.">
  • Skilled in utilizing financial software and tools, preferably QuickBooks, with an excellent grasp of accounting principles and systems.">
  • Impressive analytical abilities and capacity to accurately interpret intricate billing data.">
  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, allowing seamless interaction with clients and internal stakeholders.">
  • Demonstrated proficiency in handling multiple tasks, prioritizing work, and meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.">
  • Superior problem-solving skills and capability to efficiently resolve billing disputes.">
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.">
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.">
  • Deep understanding of US GAAP.">
  • Previous experience working with US or international clients.">
