Power BI Developer Lead Position

We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI developer to lead our team in delivering top-notch business intelligence solutions. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual who is passionate about working with data and driving business growth.

The ideal candidate will have advanced knowledge of Power BI, including its data components, such as Power Query/M, DAX, and dimensional modeling. They will also have strong communication skills, enabling them to effectively collaborate with clients and technical specialists. A deep understanding of the latest Power BI features and updates is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct customer discovery meetings to determine reporting requirements
  • Develop well-performing star schema data models for use with Power BI
  • Create Power BI solutions for customers, including importing data from multiple sources and building reports and dashboards
  • Guide customers on deploying Power BI solutions to the Power BI service

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience working with data and business intelligence solutions on the Microsoft tool stack
  • Strong knowledge of TSQL, data modeling, and reporting using Power BI
  • Experience creating complete Power BI report solutions based on business questions

Professional Skills:

  • Eagerness to contribute in a team-oriented environment
  • Excellent communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Experience:

  • Power BI tenant and workspace management
  • Experience with analytics and custom visualizations for Power BI using Python, R
  • Advanced SQL including query tuning
