Job Description

The corporate accounting specialist role involves supporting monthly financial reviews, bank feed updates, payroll recording, client communications, and periodic client accounting clean-up.

This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to learn new concepts with written and hands-on support.

The ideal candidate will have a background in accounting or a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, as well as intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.

Responsibilities:
  • Process bank feeds from various accounts, adhering to established procedures.
  • Assist with end-of-month reconciliations for assigned client accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Reconcile client credit card activity, preparing itemized lists and coding charges according to industry standards.
  • Participate in monthly financial reviews, verifying income and expenses, and responding to client inquiries.
  • Record payroll transactions using templates, prepare journal entries, and reconcile clearing accounts.
  • Clean up areas such as revenue coding, payroll, and balance sheet accounts, maintaining strong accounting practices.
Requirements
  • Strong foundation in accounting principles, including GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Intermediate to advanced level of proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex financial data.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members.
  • Detailed-oriented and organized, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn new concepts quickly, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
