Job Overview

A technical specialist will research, diagnose and resolve customer issues in an efficient and timely manner. They will collaborate with various systems, software, and hardware to escalate unresolved issues to the relevant internal departments.

The ideal candidate holds a college degree in computer science or a related field. They must be able to work full-time from home, adhering to standard working hours.

  • Maintain a minimum internet speed of 10 Mbps (DSL or FIBR).
  • Ensure a quiet and productive working environment conducive to effective performance.
Main Responsibilities:

Technical Support Specialist providing Second-Level Customer Service and Resolution

  • Technical Training and Documentation - Provide support to customer-facing teams for technical training and documentation.
  • L2 Phone and Email Support.
  • L2 Ticket and SLA Management.
  • Maintenance tasks and routine system checks.
  • Escalation Management to L3 Technical Support and/or Leadership.

Desktop and VoIP Support

  • Analyze, diagnose, and resolve end-user problems, recommend corrective solutions, and perform remote troubleshooting as needed.
  • Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot end-user and network hardware, VoIP devices, printing/scanning devices, software, and other products to meet required service level agreements.
  • Manage and administer desktop tools including Office 365, Dropbox, etc.
  • If necessary, communicate with third-party support and PC equipment vendors.
Requirements:
  • Effective communication skills both verbally and written.
  • Hands-on experience in hardware troubleshooting and equipment support.
  • System Maintenance activities.
  • Bonus: Knowledge of SSL/TLS and REST APIs.
  • Bonus: Understanding of MySQL and SQL syntax.
  • Bonus: Background in VoIP systems and network support including VoIP Software.
  • Bonus: Experience with NodeJS, Python and related technologies and frameworks.
