Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nursery Operations Manager to join our team at Leslie Farms, Inc.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the nursery section, ensuring that all activities are conducted in accordance with established protocols and procedures.

This is a full-time position that requires strong leadership and organizational skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Manage Nursery Operations: Oversee the overall activities of the nursery section, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Monitor and Implement Protocols: Monitor the proper implementation of Standard Operating Procedure in the nursery section, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
  • Coordinate with Production and Farm Managers: Consult and coordinate with production and farm managers on matters requiring attention in the nursery section.
  • Ensure Bio-Security Protocols: Ensure that bio-security protocols are complied with, preventing the introduction and spread of disease within the facility.
  • Conduct Health Checks: Conduct daily health checks on animals, monitoring their condition and taking prompt action to address any issues that arise.
  • Plan Working Schedules: Plan working schedules for staff members, ensuring that manpower requirements are met and tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Prepare Inventory Reports: Prepare daily and weekly inventory reports, submitting them to production and farm managers for review and approval.
  • Attend Meetings: Attend weekly regular meetings with production and farm managers, discussing operational matters and addressing concerns.
  • Vaccination and Disease Management: Oversee vaccination programs, ensuring that all animals receive required vaccinations and manage disease outbreaks promptly and effectively.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation: Ensure that the nursery section is kept clean and sanitary, maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety.
  • Staff Training and Development: Train and supervise staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure they are equipped to perform their roles effectively.
Requirements

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including:
