Software Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineering Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Master Development team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Avaloq community via ABR/S baseline maintenance and improvements.

Job Description

The Software Engineering Specialist will be responsible for analysing customer requirements in collaboration with clients, business analysts and software partners. You will design and implement solutions on a high quality level using the Avaloq customization layer. Additionally, you will set up demo data sets, manage releases for internal customers, involve in data migration and work with database technologies such as SQL and PL/SQL.

You will generate high quality data as requested by internal customers, analyse and resolve release invalids, data inconsistencies, and incidents. Furthermore, you will upgrade and optimize existing migration modules, provide consulting for internal and external users of software modules, maintain, review and improve code in own components, train, educate, coach and mentor employees from all areas in a wide range of topics, support and advise software and systems architects in own area of expertise, and contribute to the product roadmap.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor and/or Masters in Software Engineering or similar IT field
  • Knowledge of software engineering principles
  • Competent in one or more programming/scripting languages such as Java, SQL, PL/SQL
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming and relational databases
  • Excellent analytical skills and a systematic approach to problem solving
  • Perseverance in analysing complex situations and finding optimal solutions
  • Quality-conscious attitude
