Linux Support Role

The Associate Linux Support Engineer is a hands-on position that entails providing technical assistance to customers utilizing Ubuntu and open-source products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional customer service via telephone, email, and web support channels
  • Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders by keeping them informed in a timely manner
  • Ensure each support case is handled according to the Service Level Agreement (SLA) with the highest possible customer satisfaction
  • Contribute new knowledge base articles and maintain existing ones to enhance support resources
  • Draft and disseminate technical notices for both internal and external communication purposes
  • Prioritize tasks to accomplish the most critical and urgent responsibilities first
  • Stay up-to-date as our products and services evolve
Essential Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated academic excellence from high school and university
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or alternative chosen path
  • Confidence to communicate effectively, share feedback, and contribute ideas
  • A track record of exceeding expectations to achieve outstanding results
  • Hands-on experience with Linux troubleshooting, including collecting logs and stack traces
  • Familiarity with at least two of: Linux server administration, programming fundamentals, networking, virtualization/cloud computing concepts
  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt to change, and manage pressure in a customer-facing role
