Platform Automation Expert

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions to automate platform infrastructure provisioning and deployment. They will ensure that the automation of infrastructure tasks is seamless, efficient, and reliable, with minimal human intervention.
About the Role:- Cross-Functional Collaboration: The candidate will work closely with engineering, development, and product teams to design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines and IaC solutions that meet business requirements.
- Operational Health and Performance: They will be responsible for owning the operational health and performance of both production and pre-production environments, ensuring that they are stable, scalable, and secure.
- Ephemeral Environments: The candidate will build, maintain, and support ephemeral environments for development, testing, and QA, providing developers with a fast and reliable way to test their code.
- Troubleshooting and Analytical Skills: They will utilize strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities to resolve issues across various environments, including production and pre-production.
- Monitoring Tools: The candidate will use monitoring tools to monitor platform performance and respond to incidents, ensuring that any issues are addressed quickly and efficiently.
- Security Policies and Compliance Standards: They will ensure that platform infrastructure adheres to security policies and compliance standards, maintaining high levels of data integrity and confidentiality.
- Documentation: The candidate will maintain high-quality documentation for platform processes, making it easy for others to understand and replicate their work.
- Mentorship and Guidance: They will provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, helping them develop their technical skills and become proficient in CI/CD pipeline management and IaC solution implementation.
- You have at least 8 years of experience as a DevOps, Site Reliability or Platform Engineer, with a proven background in Kubernetes, IaC, Monitoring Tools, and Docker.
- You possess strong troubleshooting and analytical abilities to resolve issues across various environments.
- You are able to effectively collaborate across engineering, development, and product teams.
- You have clear and concise communication skills to share progress updates and incident reports.
