About the Role

We are looking for a seasoned Data Governance Lead to join our Lazada team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing our data governance framework, ensuring alignment with local and international regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive data governance framework that ensures compliance with local and international regulations;
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and identify areas for improvement;
  • Negotiate and draft contractual clauses related to data privacy and develop contracting templates and checklists;
  • Develop policies, SOPs, guides, and templates for various departments to facilitate compliance with privacy management policies;
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of data protection regulatory developments and app developer data protection compliance requirements;
  • Provide regular reporting on compliance program progress, risk areas, and compliance initiatives;
  • Handle compliance operations such as regulatory submissions, records of processing activities, DSRs, and complaints;
  • Handle data protection audits, due diligence checks, and incident management;
  • Builddata protection training programs and ensure cross-functional collaboration among teams.

Requirements:

  • At least 8 years PQE in a relevant field;
  • Strong background in data protection and compliance;
  • CIPM/CIPP certification an added advantage;
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment;
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
