Senior ABAP HANA Developer Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior ABAP HANA Developer to join our team. As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for designing, building and configuring applications to meet business process and application requirements.

Detailed Job Description:
  • Work closely with architects and the service introduction lead to define deployment requirements.
  • Develop a comprehensive work plan schedule budget and required personnel for deployment.
  • Evaluate application and training readiness for application deployment.
  • Collaborate with the test lead to monitor and evaluate pilot results.
  • Plan and assess simulations and pilots.
  • Work with the training administrator to schedule and execute application training.
  • Ensure adherence of deployment activities to all quality management plans and standards.
  • Participate in quality management reviews as outlined in the Validate Task Overview.
  • Manage cross-release cross-unit ownership of deployment issues and interdependencies.
  • Validate automated deployment process has been completed in all environments from test to production.
Requirements:
  • A strong educational background in computer science software engineering or a related field is required.
  • No less than 5 years of experience in SAP ABAP Development for HANA.
  • A thorough understanding of the HANA database and its architecture.
  • Proficiency in ABAP programming including Object-Oriented ABAP and experience with HANA-specific development techniques.
  • Experience in creating and utilizing Core Data Services (CDS) views and ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP).
  • Familiarity with OData services and integrating with SAP Fiori applications.
  • Knowledge of developing high-performance applications in a HANA environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex issues and propose efficient solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach to learning and a willingness to adapt to new technologies.
