Editorial Support Role

We seek an experienced Assistant Editor to support our team in creating impactful journalism events, podcasts, and content around global convenings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with senior editors to shape how we cover key moments in global development.
  • Conduct research: Explore issues that matter to our audience, develop ideas for interviews or panels, and identify innovators and thought leaders.
  • Help bring issues to life onstage: Identify and recommend speakers who can bring critical issues to life onstage.
  • Manage speaker correspondence: Handle communications with a robust roster of speakers to confirm speaking details and schedule briefing calls.
  • Provide strategic support: Support senior editors with seeking and managing external speaking and moderation opportunities, coordinating logistics, and developing presentations.
  • Collaborate across teams: Partner with social media, marketing, and production teams to ensure content flows smoothly from concept to execution.
Requirements:
  • Strong editorial judgment and keen sense for what matters to global development audiences.
  • Interpersonal skills are top-notch—you build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • A minimum of 3-5+ years of experience in journalism, editorial content creation, and/or event management.
  • Top-notch writing and editing skills, clear and concise.
  • Excellent at juggling multiple priorities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Stellar communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Navigate the English language with fluency (written and spoken).
