Senior Operations Manager for IT Infrastructure and Batch Processing

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Operations Manager to lead our IT infrastructure and batch processing teams. As a key member of our Operations Center team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our IT systems and ensuring the smooth execution of batch jobs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and manage a team of IT operators and engineers to ensure efficient operation of IT systems and batch processes.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team members' technical skills and knowledge.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve team performance.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that promotes open communication and teamwork.
  • System Monitoring and Batch Processing:
    • Oversee system monitoring activities to ensure timely response to alerts and incidents.
    • Monitor batch job execution and identify areas for improvement to optimize processing efficiency.
    • Implement new monitoring tools and automation techniques to streamline processes.
  • Incident Management:
    • Conduct post-incident reviews to identify lessons learned and implement process improvements.
    • Develop and maintain incident management procedures to ensure effective issue resolution.
    • Communicate incident status to stakeholders and ensure timely updates.
  • Shift Management:
    • Manage shift schedules to ensure adequate coverage and minimize disruptions.
    • Coordinate handoffs between shifts to ensure seamless operation.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities to improve IT infrastructure and batch processing processes.
    • Implement automation and streamlining techniques to increase efficiency.
    • Develop and maintain documentation for standard operating procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure management, system monitoring, and batch processing.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills with ability to motivate and develop team members.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities with strong analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with ITIL frameworks and incident management processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with system monitoring tools such as PagerDuty, NetCool, and Grafana.
  • Knowledge of batch processing concepts and tools such as Zena.
  • Experience with SIEM and EDR solutions such as Splunk, Sentinel, Wazuh, and Defender.
  • Experience with cloud technologies and migration strategies.

What We Offer:

Avaloq offers a competitive salary of $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits and bonuses.
