The role of the Senior Program Design Specialist is to inform the design, development, and implementation of water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) projects and activities across the organization.
- Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and uphold Compassion's ministry in prayer.
- Act as an advocate to raise awareness of the needs of children and prioritize child protection considerations in all decision-making tasks and activities.
- Provide technical guidance for the effective implementation and quality of WASH projects globally, including defining technical specifications and supervision of WASH infrastructure projects and programs.
- Promote capacity development to National office specialists in emerging areas of interest in WASH programming and facilitate opportunities for learning exchange.
- Represent Compassion International and present WASH technical programs at relevant forums to enhance Compassion International's technical knowledge and reputation in the international development community.
This position requires collaboration with other Global Design Specialists in the design of WASH solutions in the context of disaster and providing WASH technical support for disaster response operations when needed.
Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering or a similar WASH-related field.
- Master's degree preferred in a WASH-related or International Development field.
- 10+ years of experience working in this or a similar position or field.
- Advisor-level experience with a WASH program in a developing country is desirable.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English is required.
