Financial Transaction Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team. As a key member of the finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting financial reporting.
This role involves creating or maintaining records of financial transactions for clients, using various accounting systems. You will also be responsible for processing invoicing and accounts receivable, paying bills, handling expense management software and accounts payable, managing payroll through a payroll service, and handling other accounting entries and transactions.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in the related field and 5+ years of full charge bookkeeper/staff accountant experience including account reconciliation and work paper preparation experience. They should also have experience with QuickBooks Online and intermediate Excel skills.
Key Responsibilities- Create or maintain records of financial transactions for clients, using various accounting systems
- Process invoicing and accounts receivable
- Pay bills, handle expense management software and accounts payable
- Manage payroll through a payroll service
- Handle other accounting entries and transactions
- Reconcile sub-ledger to general ledger account balances, reconcile and balance accounts, verify, allocate, and post details of business transactions to the accounting system
- Provide support for audits by external entities, prepare supporting schedules, gather information, and provide analysis as requested
- Compile reports to show statistics, such as cash receipts and expenditures, accounts payable and receivable, profit and loss, and other items pertinent to the operation of the business
- Report against metrics/budgets, etc.
- Analyze financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital, and prepare a balance sheet, profit, and loss statement, and other reports to summarize the current and projected company financial position
- A Bachelor's degree in the related field is preferred
- 5+ years of full charge bookkeeper/staff accountant experience including account reconciliation and work paper preparation experience
- Experience with QuickBooks Online is required
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Experience in a multi-client environment
- Strong organization, oral and written communication skills
- Aptitude in data management, analytics, reporting preparation
- Ability to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed
