Senior Financial Operations Manager

The Senior Accounting Manager will oversee the end-to-end financial management cycle, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and month-end close processes. This role will ensure the integrity of financial statements, compliance with accounting standards, and delivery of insightful financial analyses to support strategic decision-making.
This position requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in controllership, financial planning & analysis, and reporting. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis, as well as proficiency in month-end close processes and financial statement preparation.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) activities, ensuring accurate budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling to support business objectives.
- Oversee month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare, review, and present management reports, highlighting key business drivers, trends, and variances.
- Maintain and enhance financial models to support strategic decision-making and scenario planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align financial plans with operational goals.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement process improvements for efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Mentor and lead a remote finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Support internal and external audits, providing documentation and explanations as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred).
- 8+ years of progressive experience in controllership, financial planning & analysis, and reporting.
- Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and variance analysis.
- Proficiency in month-end close processes and financial statement preparation.
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and present clear insights.
- Excellent knowledge of financial reporting tools and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, etc. preferred).
- Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial audiences.
