Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced accounting professional to join our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant financial operations, with a focus on revenue accounting and automation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts in compliance with US GAAP.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations.
  • Perform month-end close activities, including reconciliations, journal entry postings, and accurate reporting.
  • Process monthly revenue tasks, including reconciliations, posting of entries, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Prepare documentation for internal and external audits and assist auditors as needed.
  • Assist in the preparation and filing of annual tax returns.
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide insights and recommendations based on financial data.
  • Support accounts receivable tasks, including contract uploads, billing, invoicing, and cash application.
  • Manage customer relationships and resolve billing issues.
  • Process monthly payroll activities, including payroll runs and payroll entries.
  • Assist with investor and bank reporting.
  • Manage emails effectively within our system.
  • Know how to manage project management tools in a timely and proactive manner.
  • Implement best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

Requirements/Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of practical experience in accounts receivable, payroll processing, accounts payable, and month-end close procedures.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
  • Knowledgeable in ASC 606 revenue recognition standards.
  • Experience working with US-based SaaS companies.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero), Google Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive, responsible, and able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Tech-savvy accountant with the ability to adapt to new systems and tools.
