Electrical Technician Job Summary

The Electrical Technician performs various tasks assigned by the Electrical Superintendent in floating docks or ship repair. This role requires a high level of technical proficiency and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.


Main Responsibilities
  • Reports to the Electrical Superintendent and performs tasks as assigned in floating docks or ship repair.
  • Splices and joins electrical conductors, installs intermediate conduit, electrical metallic tubing, wire ways, and cable trays.
  • Wires systems using rigid steel conduit and rigid bender.
  • Terminates panels such as Light Distribution Panel and Main Distribution Panel.
  • Repairs damaged motors, ventilation fans, exhaust fans, control, and wiring systems.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
