About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Software Engineer to join our team. As a security-focused software engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security of our products and services.

In this role, you will be responsible for defining, implementing, and documenting new security features, leading security-focused initiatives within product engineering teams, and analyzing, fixing, and testing vulnerabilities in open source software.

You will also contribute to Ubuntu and upstream open source projects to benefit the community, audit and analyze source code for vulnerabilities, integrate new tools into our security infrastructure, pipelines, and processes, and achieve and retain various security certifications.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of modern software engineering techniques, familiarity with open source development tools and methodologies, and experience working with Linux (Debian or Ubuntu preferred).

Key Responsibilities

  • Define, implement, and document new security features
  • Lead security-focused initiatives within product engineering teams

Required Skills and Qualifications:
