Job Title: Senior SMSF Accountant

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and skilled SMSF Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality accounting and compliance services to our clients, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and regulatory documents.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2+ years' experience working with Australian Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs) and possess strong technical skills, including proficiency in Class Super, Excel, and Xero. They will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.

The role involves a range of responsibilities, including processing and managing SMSF accounting and compliance tasks, preparing workpapers, reconciliations, and reports, and assisting with the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and regulatory documents.

In addition to technical skills, the successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, and identifying opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in SMSF workflows.

Key qualifications for this role include:

  • Minimum 2+ years' experience working with SMSFs in Australia;
