**Job Overview**

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Fashion Heritage Curator at De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde. As a key member of our institution, you will be responsible for managing and preserving our extensive collection of historical garments, accessories, photographs, and documents that showcase the evolution of fashion.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Cataloging and Preservation: Develop and implement effective strategies for cataloging, preserving, and conserving our valuable collections, ensuring their integrity and accessibility for future generations.
  • Research and Documentation: Conduct thorough research on the history and significance of our collections, documenting findings and contributing to the development of engaging exhibits and educational programs.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with colleagues from various departments to ensure seamless integration of our collections into the overall curriculum and programming of the institution.

**Requirements:**

  • Education and Experience: A specialization or focus on archives and special collections is highly preferred, along with relevant work experience in a museum or cultural institution.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Strong knowledge of archival principles, practices, and standards, including DACS, EAD, and metadata schemes. Familiarity with textile conservation techniques, handling procedures for delicate materials, and cataloging software and digital archives.
  • Perspectives and Skills: Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
