This is a remote opportunity for an experienced Australian Tax Specialist to provide high-quality tax services to clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review financial data, including accuracy of coding and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare annual financial statements for various entity structures, such as companies, partnerships, and trusts.
  • Complete annual tax returns within business timeframes, ensuring timely submission and minimizing penalties.
  • Assist with bookkeeping duties, BAS lodgment, and other accounting tasks as required.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in Australian taxation and accounting, preferably with a public practice or accounting firm.
  • 6 years' experience in providing tax services, including preparation of financial statements and annual tax returns.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, including GAAP and GST regulations.
  • Xero Certified and proficiency in XPM and other accounting systems.
  • Sound understanding of the Australian GST system, including BAS and IAS.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders.
  • Motivated individual with great attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to follow process/system.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Qualification as a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or equivalent.
  • Experience with Office 365, Karbon, and SuperMate.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
