Quality Assurance Engineer

This role is responsible for ensuring the quality of web and mobile applications. You will own end-to-end QA processes, collaborate with cross-functional teams, design and implement test plans, conduct functional testing, and maintain traceability between requirements and defects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Owning end-to-end QA processes for web and mobile applications
  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to understand release scopes and timelines
  • Designing and implementing comprehensive test plans for each release
  • Conducting functional, regression, exploratory, smoke, and UI/UX testing
  • Validating release candidates and approving production deployments
  • Identifying, documenting, and tracking bugs using internal tools
  • Building automated test scripts where valuable and maintaining them as systems evolve
  • Maintaining traceability between requirements, test cases, and defects
  • Being the final gatekeeper of quality before any code reaches users

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in manual and automated QA for web and/or mobile apps
  • Proven ownership of release testing cycles in high-frequency development environments
  • Familiarity with tools like Jira, TestRail, Playwright, BrowserStack, and Postman
  • Comfortable working across time zones with partial overlap with Sydney business hours
  • Strong English communication and proactive documentation habits
  • Autonomous self-directed and rigorous you will be our quality standard-bearer

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with accessibility testing
  • Experience in the Australian tech startup ecosystem or NDIS-related products
  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows
  • Prior work in remote cross-functional teams
