Senior Payroll Officer

As a critical member of our team, the Senior Payroll Officer plays a pivotal role in delivering high-volume payrolls with precision and accuracy. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless payroll administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process payroll for internal staff and on-hire workers with utmost care, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy.
  • Prepare and reconcile payroll reports, invoices, statutory returns, and general ledger entries, providing clarity and transparency.
  • Apply Awards, EBAs, and employment agreements accurately, managing PAYG, payroll tax, and other contributions with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Maintain and update payroll records, upholding secure and confidential data management practices.
  • Oversee EFT wage payments, handle overpayments, and produce annual payment summaries with precision and efficiency.
  • Manage payroll–accounting system data transfers (to Xero) and assist in onboarding and training payroll staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in Financial Management, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field, providing a solid foundation for success.
  • At least 5 years of relevant payroll experience in a high-volume environment, with recruitment industry exposure as a bonus.
  • Strong knowledge of Australian legislation, Awards, EBAs, and AWA compliance, enabling you to navigate complex regulations with ease.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with experience in payroll systems (FastTrack, Greentree, or similar), allowing you to leverage your technical skills effectively.
  • Excellent time management, accuracy, and attention to detail, essential for meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards.
  • Strong client-service focus, particularly toward operational staff, demonstrating a commitment to exceptional customer service.
  • High level of discretion, professionalism, and commitment to confidentiality, upholding the highest standards of integrity.
  • Accounts payable/receivable experience is an advantage, showcasing your ability to adapt to diverse roles.
  • Willingness to work full-time onsite at Pasig City, demonstrating flexibility and a strong work ethic.
