New Business Intake Specialist

The New Business Intake Team seeks a skilled and detail-oriented professional to support the Firm's strategic objectives in client onboarding.

  1. Provide comprehensive assistance to Partners and offices in opening new and existing client registrations and matters, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
  2. Review new client and matter information submitted via the Firm's intake system, identifying potential conflicts of interest and verifying compliance with ethical and legal duties.
  3. Conduct thorough online investigations using databases such as Pacer, Lexis Nexis, and business intelligence platforms like D&B and Hoovers, to identify high-risk clients and communicate findings to NBI Management and the Risk and Compliance team.
  4. Making sound decisions regarding conflict of interest clearance, collaborate with Partners and offices to ensure accurate client/matter information in the Firm's central records.
  5. Review Engagement or Assignment Letters for compliance with Firm guidelines and policies, applying Standard Terms of Engagement to all client engagements where applicable.
  6. Engage with team members through presentation of ideas and recommendations regarding best practice, continuous improvement, departmental processes, policies, and procedures.
  7. Support important team projects and initiatives as required.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in client onboarding or a related field.
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office tools including PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and online research platforms.
  • Able to make informed decisions, judgments, calls, and reliable recommendations with support from team members and Management when necessary.
  • Professionalism, ability to influence positively, and excellent interpersonal skills with a customer service-oriented attitude.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills, with ability to contribute ideas for process improvements and adapt easily to procedural changes.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills demonstrated in interactions with all colleagues throughout the Firm, as well as Partners and Management.
  • Flexibility to work a reasonable shift schedule is required.
