Job Description

We are seeking an accomplished Waiter or Waitress to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring seamless service delivery to our discerning clientele.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and escort customers to their tables, fostering a welcoming ambiance from the onset.
  • Present menu options and provide detailed information upon request, showcasing knowledge of dishes and beverages.
  • Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware, and glasses, ensuring attention to detail and cleanliness.
  • Inform customers about daily specials and offer personalized recommendations to enhance their dining experience.
  • Take accurate orders using POS systems or memorization, ensuring prompt and efficient delivery to the kitchen staff.
  • Communicate order details to the kitchen team, guaranteeing accuracy and quality control.
  • Serve food and drink orders with a smile, paying attention to presentation and timeliness.
  • Maintain a tidy dining area, including arranging table settings and disposing of waste effectively.
  • Deliver checks and collect bill payments in a polite and professional manner.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and hygienic environment by reporting any issues to the relevant authorities.
  • Foster strong relationships with colleagues to ensure seamless communication and teamwork.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Proven work experience as a Waiter or Waitress, with a demonstrated ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Hands-on experience with cash registers and ordering systems, including Revel POS or Toast POS.
  • Basic math skills to handle transactions accurately.
  • Attentiveness, patience, and excellent presentation skills to engage with customers.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to balance multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Effective communication and active listening skills to build rapport with colleagues and clients.
  • Team-oriented attitude and flexibility to adapt to changing situations.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, with a plus for food safety training.
