Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Duty Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel systems and equipment, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.

As a Duty Engineer, you will be the hands-on expert who guarantees a seamless and enjoyable experience for all guests. You will respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff, perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance, troubleshoot and repair issues as they arise, and maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities.

Your day-to-day tasks will include responding to guest and staff requests, performing routine inspections, troubleshooting and repairing issues, maintaining accurate records, adhering to safety standards, assisting with new equipment installations, and collaborating with other departments to ensure operational efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Some college or advanced vocational training in a relevant field.
  • At least two years of experience in general building maintenance, ideally within a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Proven technical skills in areas such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general carpentry.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a guest-focused approach.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
