The Team Lead will be responsible for managing a team of focused individuals, organizing their work, assigning tasks, and monitoring activities to ensure timely and accurate completion of the work.

The key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Manage a team of skilled professionals
  • Organize work, assign tasks, set priorities, and monitor activities
  • Possess leadership and organizational skills to prioritize assignments and provide feedback to staff
  • Manage operational risk through identification of risk points, adherence to procedures, and maintenance of adequate skilled resources
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of tax reclaims
  • Monitor and close out all queries within required deadlines
  • Engage with Global Sub Custodians and Tax Agents
  • Participate in Operational Risk Assessments
  • Track and monitor tax technical changes
  • Deliver regular MIS reports to Management as required

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong time-management skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Fundamental technical knowledge of Tax Operations
  • Leadership skills
  • Track record of implementing process improvements
  • Awareness of risk management
  • Understanding of custodial responsibilities
  • Prior tax experience in Financial Services area would be an advantage
