Coil Manufacturing Specialist

At North Taal Steel Corp., we are currently looking for an experienced Coil Manufacturing Specialist to join our team. The right candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient production of coils, adhering to strict quality control standards and maintaining a safe working environment.

Job Summary:

• We are seeking a skilled Coil Manufacturing Specialist to work with our team in the coil manufacturing process.\r
• The ideal candidate will have experience with coil handling, welding, and maintenance.\r
• This role involves working closely with other departments to ensure that all aspects of coil production are met.\r

Responsibilities:

• \r
• Pre-Operation Checks:\r
  • \r
  • Inspect materials needed before starting the operation.\r
  • Verify coil width and thickness to ensure correct placement of items based on production order.\r
  • Check if the coil is still hung on the weighing scale.\r
  • Monitor brake pods, hose air leaks, expander, and FRL before the operation starts.\r
  • Verify Skelp expander barriers and ensure they are locked.\r
  • Check welding rod size before replacing it with a new one (2-4 inches prior to replacement).\r
  • Avoid placing thin materials into the coil cage.\r

• During Production:\r
  • \r
  • Maintain cleanliness of the area before and after use.\r
  • Perform weld joints between coils during production, ensuring durable welds.\r
  • Take note of materials coming from the expander and report any weight changes.\r
  \r

Requirements:

• \r
• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred.\r
• Minimum 2 years of experience in coil manufacturing or a related field.\r
• Familiarity with industrial equipment and tools.\r
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.\r
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.\r
