Medical Compliance Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Compliance Assistant to join our team.

This role is ideal for an individual with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

The Medical Compliance Assistant will be responsible for assisting the compliance team in maintaining current laws, procedures, and guidelines for assigned states.

Duties include drafting documents in a timely and professional manner, researching and gathering information from internal resources and websites, summarizing data on payor guidelines, responding to email queries with accurate information, reviewing and updating fee schedules as required, and maintaining and reviewing excel spreadsheets.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of college education and at least 2 years of experience in medical billing, including provider credentialing, authorizations, and reimbursement.

A backup power supply or residing near a coworking space is also required.

 Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the compliance team in maintaining current laws, procedures, and guidelines for assigned states.

 Requirements:

 Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft programs, including Excel and Word.
  • Thorough understanding of internet navigation.
