As a Real Estate Accountant, you will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions for real estate properties. This includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. You will also utilize AppFolio to manage property accounting, tenant ledgers, rent payments, owner statements, and property reports.
Key Responsibilities- Manage daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Utilize AppFolio to manage property accounting, tenant ledgers, rent payments, owner statements, and property reports.
- Maintain and reconcile accounts using QuickBooks Online to ensure accurate financial data.
- Process monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for management review.
- Assist with year-end audits and tax preparation.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, company policies, and applicable regulations.
- Proven experience in Real Estate Accounting.
- Extensive hands-on experience with AppFolio required.
- Strong QuickBooks Online skills with proven track record of accurate bookkeeping.
- In-depth understanding of real estate financial workflows, including rent collection, owner payouts, and property expense tracking.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
