Job Description

The Billing Specialist I is a key professional responsible for handling the most complex aspects of the billing process. This role goes beyond day-to-day transaction processing, involving system analysis, cross-functional coordination, and process optimization.

Responsibilities
  • Handle high-value billing transactions with precision and accuracy.
  • Review invoices prepared by team members for compliance and ensure proper application of tax laws and regulations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for billing policies and workflows.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex billing issues.
  • Lead or support billing-related system enhancements and reconcile billing accounts.
  • Maintain audit-ready documentation and support internal and external audit requirements.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of tax laws and invoicing compliance.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and other MS programs.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
