Cloud Engineering Manager

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Engineering Manager to lead our BootStack team in designing, building and operating modern distributed systems on private infrastructure for customers. As a key member of our engineering leadership team, you will be responsible for managing a growing team of engineers who oversee the day-to-day managed services of customer environments.

This role requires a strong technical background with experience in cloud technologies, including OpenStack, Kubernetes and Linux. You should have a proven track record of managing operations teams and implementing disciplined engineering processes. Additionally, you should have excellent communication and cooperation skills, as well as experience working in distributed teams.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in a technology field and at least 5 years of professional experience in software delivery or operations management. They should also have experience with agile software development methodologies and be familiar with cloud topologies and technologies.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing a growing team of engineers to optimize quality and velocity of both development and operations
  • Identifying and measuring team health indicators
  • Implementing disciplined engineering and operations processes
  • Representing the BootStack team with respect to stakeholders, customers and external teams
