About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Culinary Expert to join our team at Paperback & Lattes. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking food items according to our menu guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, and snack menu items using established recipes.
  • Ensure food is cooked to the correct temperature and maintain high standards of food safety.
  • Assist with portioning ingredients and preparing dishes in advance for busy periods.
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area at all times.
  • Handle kitchen equipment such as grills, stoves, fryers, ovens, and blenders.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a kitchen environment, particularly in cafes or restaurants.
  • Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen equipment.
  • Ability to work efficiently and quickly in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality.
  • Creativity in contributing ideas for new menu items or seasonal offerings.
