Culinary Expert for Cafe KitchenWe are seeking a skilled Culinary Specialist to join our team at Paperback & Lattes. This role involves preparing, cooking, and plating food items according to our menu guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook breakfast, lunch, and snack menu items according to established recipes. Ensure food is cooked to the correct temperature and in accordance with food safety standards.
- Menu and Recipe Adherence: Follow café's menu guidelines, ensuring consistency and presentation in all dishes. Prepare items such as sandwiches, salads, soups, pastries, and baked goods.
- Maintaining Cleanliness and Hygiene: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen and work area at all times. Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels for ingredients and supplies. Assist in ordering ingredients and ensuring the kitchen is stocked with necessary items.
- Quality Control: Ensure that food items are cooked to the proper specifications and are visually appealing. Maintain consistency in the quality of food served to customers.
Requirements:
- Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen environment, particularly in cafes or restaurants, is preferred.
- Culinary Skills: Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, knife skills, and kitchen equipment.
- Organization: Ability to handle multiple orders at once, prioritize tasks, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
