Job Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned professional to assume the role of Senior Accountant. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate sales tax compliance across multiple US states.

The ideal candidate will have experience in accounting, preferably including hands-on US sales tax work. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.

  • Prepare and file sales and use tax returns across multiple US states and local jurisdictions.
  • Manage sales tax registrations, nexus tracking, and timely renewals.
  • Maintain and validate tax exemption certificates and support sales and customer service teams with taxability questions.
  • Collaborate with tax engine vendors to configure tax codes and validate system accuracy.
  • Monitor and respond to state notices, audits, or discrepancy letters in coordination with legal advisors.
  • Research changes in state and local sales tax laws, providing internal updates and risk guidance.
  • Process customer refunds and maintain weekly reconciliations to support the Revenue Accounting process.
  • Assist the accounting team with month-end close, including reconciliations, journal entries, and accruals.
  • Support audit schedules, documentation, and answer external auditor questions as needed.
  • Contribute to internal controls improvement, documentation of processes, and cross-training initiatives.

The selected candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software is essential. Experience working independently in a remote setup is also required.
