Finance Specialist Job Description

This is a remote position that involves maintaining accurate financial records, assisting in financial reporting and analysis, supporting US tax compliance, and ensuring smooth accounts payable and receivable functions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bookkeeping & General Ledger Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger entries, journal entries, and reconciliations. Perform daily bookkeeping tasks, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and classified.
  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Generate various financial reports to support decision-making and provide insights into financial performance.
  • A/P and A/R Support: Assist with invoicing and billing, maintain accurate client and vendor records.
  • US Taxation (Preferred but not required): Assist with the preparation and filing of various US tax forms, such as sales tax and 1099s. Support the compilation of necessary documentation for income tax preparation and ensure compliance with relevant US tax regulations.
Requirements:
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 1 year of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance. Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting software. Solid understanding of US taxation basics.
  • Technical Requirements: Dual-monitor setup required. At least 25 MBPS internet speed.
