Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional with expertise in real estate accounting and finance to manage our company's financial transactions. This role is crucial in ensuring accuracy in accounting records, providing valuable financial insights, and supporting business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day accounting functions for real estate properties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
  • Utilize specialized software to manage property accounting, tenant ledgers, rent payments, owner statements, and property reports.
  • Maintain and reconcile accounts using financial management tools to ensure accurate financial data.
  • Process monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports, budgets, and forecasts for senior review.
  • Assist with year-end audits and tax preparation.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth financial operations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Proven experience in Real Estate Accounting
  • Extensive hands-on experience with AppFolio (required).
  • Strong QuickBooks Online skills with proven track record of accurate bookkeeping.
  • In-depth understanding of real estate financial workflows, including rent collection, owner payouts, and property expense tracking.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
