Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Bookkeeper with a proven track record of delivering accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with international accounting standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our remote team and grow into a player-coach/team leader position, contributing to both internal operations and client-facing projects.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of professional bookkeeping experience, with a strong proficiency in AppFolio, Yardi Voyager, and common accounting platforms like QuickBooks. Familiarity with PM Bookkeeper, OJO Bookkeeping, Xero, FreshBooks, and ZOHO Books is highly valued. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, and collaborating with internal teams and clients to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with international accounting standards.
  • Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close.
  • Utilize various accounting software platforms such as AppFolio, Yardi Voyager, QuickBooks, Xero, FreshBooks, ZOHO Books, and others.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports for management and client review.
  • Support audits, tax preparation, and financial analysis as needed.
  • Assist in developing and improving bookkeeping processes and documentation.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of professional bookkeeping experience.
  • Proven experience working with international companies, especially in the US market.
  • Strong proficiency in AppFolio, Yardi Voyager, and common accounting platforms like QuickBooks.
  • Familiarity with PM Bookkeeper, OJO Bookkeeping, Xero, FreshBooks, and ZOHO Books is a strong plus.
  • Experience with time and project tracking solutions, like Harvest, is a strong plus.
  • Solid understanding of US accounting practices and international financial standards.
  • Excellent English communication skills (reading, writing, and presentation).
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.
  • Own computer and reliable internet connection.
