Financial Leadership Opportunity

About the Role

This role involves playing a pivotal part in driving the company's financial success by providing actionable insights and accurate financial reporting. The Senior Management Accountant will work closely with senior management and key stakeholders to deliver high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to prepare and analyze monthly management accounts.
  • Present financial results at management meetings, ensuring clarity and transparency.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and BAS/IAS returns within tight deadlines.
  • Manage external auditor relations and audit queries efficiently.
  • Partner with Commercial Managers to develop budgets and forecasts that drive business growth.
  • Support Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) teams as needed.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in Australian accounting and tax, preferably in media or related sectors.
  • A qualified accountant (CA/CPA preferred) with a strong analytical mindset.
  • Relevant experience in managing diverse revenue streams such as memberships, events, and advertising.
  • Familiarity with Sage Intacct is highly desirable.
  • Experience with Chargebee and HubSpot is an added advantage.
  • The ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong process improvement skills with the ability to identify and implement efficient solutions.
